* Instagram has released an update that lets users share pictures in landscape format
* Previously, users could only create albums with square-shaped photos, now all picture formats can be used to make an album.
* However, users cannot mix and match portrait, square and landscape photos into an album.
Instagram has once again improved its album feature that allows users to share multiple photos at once. This time, the company has added a bit more flexibility to the carousel feature by allowing users to share photos in landscape format.
However, there is a catch. The new update does not allow users to mix and match between photos in potrait, square or landscape format – all photos and videos to be included into the album post must be of the same format.
Although Instagram has always supported landscape, portrait and square-styled media for regular posts, its album feature only allowed square-shaped contents to be combined into album posts. The latest update however will allow all three formats to be used – but not mixed and matched.
