* The Microsoft Launcher offers full customisation and a feature called The Feed that allows you see everything from top news to important events
* The Continue on PC feature allows you to seamlessly continue what you are working on – whether it’s a photo or document – on your PC
Microsoft has designed a new Android launcher to bridge the gap between your phone and PC, so that your recent photos and more can all ‘Continue on PC’.
One of the benefits of Android OS is that it allows users to customise what is called a ‘Launcher’ that can be called when you press the Home button – a feature that isn’t available on the iPhone.
Just like on Windows 10, the new Microsoft Launcher allows you to put icons of your favourite people on your home screen, where they can be easily and quickly accessed.
The new Launcher offers The Feed, a feature that allows you see view your important events, top news, most frequently used apps, recent activities and favourite people.
Built based on Fluent design, the Microsoft Launcher also offers full customisation, so you can personalise your experience. In addition, it also offers ‘gesture’ support for advanced customisation of your phone environment to make it more productive.
Continue on PC is the main feature Microsoft is pushing with its new Android Launcher. This feature allows you to seamlessly continue what you are working on – whether it’s a photo or document – on your PC.
The application is available from today for preview, and it’s open to all Android users. Support for the Continues on PC feature will arrive with the Windows 10 Creator Update that’s due to be released on October 17. Go here to access the Microsoft Launcher preview
